A5 Night Closures for School Footbridge

The A5 will be closed between Mancetter island and Holly Lane island on the following dates from 8pm until 6 am.

A5 full closure overnight on Saturday 28 May, 8pm to 6am.

A5 full closure overnight on 30 May, 31 May and 1 June, 8pm to 6am.

A5 full closure overnight on 6 June, 7 June and 8 June, 8pm to 6am.

A5 full weekend closure from 8pm on Friday 10 June to 6am on Monday 13 June.

Local Governance Review

Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council is consulting on the national Local Governance Review. This is a review of parish councils across the country and the consultation ends on 18th May 2022. So please take a look at the questionnaire and tell them what you think. There are specific questions and opportunity for free text.

Walk-In Covid Vaccinations

Walk in covid vaccinations now available for adults and children* aged five and over at Hinckley Leisure Centre.

No appointment required, sessions are taking place Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week and then continue every Wednesday to Friday throughout May.

12 noon to 7pm for adults aged 16+

3.15pm to 7pm for children* aged 5+

Annual Parish Meeting 2022

As per the Local Government Act 1972, Sch 12, para 15 A parish meeting may be convened by the chairman of the parish council.

This year's meeting will take place 6.45 p.m. Thursday 12th May, 2022 at All Saint's Church, Ratcliffe Culey.

Mythe Lane Road Closure 3rd May 2022

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

A road closure is required on Mythe Lane between Between the junction of Atterton Lane and junction of From Mythe Lane to Witherley Fields Farm on the 3rd May 2022 for up to one day.

This is because the Borough Council is reviewing parish and town council electoral arrangements in the borough and wants to hear people's views.

Hinckley Rail Freight Interchange consultation

The formal statutory consultation stage on HNRFI is extended from the 9th March 2022 to 8th April 2022. The deadline for all responses to the consultation is 8th April 2022.
