There remains 6 council member seats to fill on the Parish Council. Anyone wishing to join the council should take note of the attached document which is also posted on the noticeboards in each of the vacancy wards: Atterton, Ratcliffe Culey and Witherley.

Notice of Uncontested Election October 2023
Fenny Drayton had 4 nominated candidates proposed by Friday 16th September, for 4 vacant seats. These candidates are elected as they are not contested.
There will be other elections scheduled for Atterton, Ratcliffe Culey and Witherley in November.

Thursday 20th July, between 3 and 6 pm

Emergency Alert System Test
The Government are rolling out a national emergency alert system and it will be tested on Sunday 23rd April 2023, at 3pm.
An alert will be broadcast via the mobile phone network and your phone or other device will emit a sound even if it is switched off.

2023 Lane Setting
The ancient tradition of lane setting is continued this year on Thursday 13th April 2023 at the Gate Inn, Ratcliffe Culey.
The Parish Council is grateful to this and all previous land lords who have kindly allowed this event to take place each year in their houses.
There's singing, a bite of supper, the auction of lots for which you can have your name entered into the historical record book.

NDP to be Decided by Parishioners
On 4th May, along with the local elections for parish and borough councillors residents of the parish will also be asked to vote to accept or reject the Witherley Neighbourhood Development Plan.
