The Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 aim to ensure reasonable adjustments to websites are made, so they are accessible to people with various disabilities.
Witherley Parish Council has begun this process of reviewing its website and the documents contained within it to ensure it complies with the above regulations.

A scheme providing additional council tax help during the Covid-19 pandemic is benefitting working age households who are living on a low income.
The initiative, supported by £531,000 of government funding, provides a reduction of up to £150 off the council tax bill for low income households who currently receive working age Council Tax Support.

As a result of the relaxing of the lock down measures it is possible for children to use the play equipment in our play areas in Ratcliffe Culey and Fenny Drayton.
We still urge caution, social distancing and hygiene measures.

The website allows you to register your details in order to receive alerts from police about crime in your area. It can be used by police to identify who has CCTV in a specific area and to target specific areas to update about relevant crime advice and updates.

The garden waste collection service will resume from Monday (week commencing 27 April)
The Borough Council suspended its garden waste collection service on March 23 due to staff shortages arising from the coronavirus pandemic. Staff were diverted to ensure the refuse (black bin) and recycling (blue lidded bin) collections continued as normal throughout the pandemic.
