Witherley Parish Council has closed its play equipment until further notice due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Following the Prime Minister's statements the Parish Council is closing the play equipment. Do not use the play equipment we cannot disinfect it to protect you.
This ruling applies to:
Ormes Lane, Ratcliffe Culey and
Drayton Close, Fenny Drayton play areas.

Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council has suspended its garden waste collection service for at least two weeks.
There will be no garden waste (brown lidded bin) collections from Monday 23 March for at least two weeks as a result of severe staff shortages resulting from the coronavirus pandemic.
Refuse (black bin) and recycling (blue lidded bin) collections will continue as normal and are unaffected... Read More »

The three Theme Groups, Housing and the Built Environment, Natural and Historic Environment and Community Resources and Sustainability, have been working hard to complete their chapters for the first Draft of the Plan. I should like to thank all our volunteers for the extremely hard work they are doing to help produce the Neighbourhood Plan.
At the beginning of October a timetable was agreed with the Borough Council for production of the plan, through the mandatory Regulation 14 Consultation which the Parish Council carries out. Everyone who lives, works and does business in the Parish will be able to comment on it.... Read More »

County council flooding gangs are out distributing sandbags, clearing gullies and closing flooded roads following a period of heavy rain.
Since yesterday (30 September), crews have been called out to more than 88 reports of flooding across Leicestershire.

Tree Wardens are volunteers appointed by their Parish Council to be a contact and support for all things tree related in our villages.
Full training is given for monitoring trees for their inhabitants, aging, diseases, advising on preservation and planting schemes.
