Get Jabbed!

Anyone who still hasn't been able to get their vaccine can do so either by booking an appointment using the National Booking Service (or 119) or at your GP practice, or attending a drop-in clinic.

People are encouraged to keep an eye on the website for the latest available drop-in clinics - these are short notice but worth keeping an eye on in case it suits your working week.

Help For Low Income Households from Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council

A scheme providing additional council tax help during the Covid-19 pandemic is benefitting working age households who are living on a low income.

The initiative, supported by £531,000 of government funding, provides a reduction of up to £150 off the council tax bill for low income households who currently receive working age Council Tax Support.

As a result of the relaxing of the lock down measures it is possible for children to use the play equipment in our play areas in Ratcliffe Culey and Fenny Drayton.

We still urge caution, social distancing and hygiene measures.

Coronavirus Testing in Hinckley 13th - 15th May

There will be a mobile testing facility in Hinckley on 13th, 14th and 15th May 2020.

Follow the link below to book if you are eligible.

You can apply for a test if you are:

  • an essential worker with coronavirus symptoms
  • aged 65 or over with coronavirus symptoms
  • someone who cannot work from home and has coronavirus symptoms (for example, construction workers or delivery drivers)

Playing Fields Closed


Witherley Parish Council has closed its play equipment until further notice due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Following the Prime Minister's statements the Parish Council is closing the play equipment. Do not use the play equipment we cannot disinfect it to protect you.

This ruling applies to:

Ormes Lane, Ratcliffe Culey and

Drayton Close, Fenny Drayton play areas.

Garden Waste Service Suspended

Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council has suspended its garden waste collection service for at least two weeks.

There will be no garden waste (brown lidded bin) collections from Monday 23 March for at least two weeks as a result of severe staff shortages resulting from the coronavirus pandemic.
